ELIS Classroom Inquiry Special Interest Group Progress Update Session One 2024
The SIG met online on Tuesday, 16 July 2024 (2.30 – 4.00pm) to report on their inquiry progress and seek feedback. Eight SIG members from four primary and secondary schools attended the session. Among the participants were new SIG members who had just completed the 2024 Classroom Inquiry for English Language and Literature Teachers course.
At the Progress Update Session, the SIG members from three schools provided updates on their ongoing inquiry projects and sought feedback from the other SIG members. All the inquiry projects had a common focus on leveraging AI to support students’ learning. Pasir Ris Secondary School and NUS High School are exploring the use of AI to support students’ writing. Tanjong Katong Primary School is exploring the use of AI to support students in generating ideas for their stimulus-based conversations.
Celebrating Learning Session
The SIG members plan to meet in-person for a Celebrating Learning Session on either 27 Feb or 6 Mar 2025 to present their inquiry findings and learning from their inquiry projects.
