Ms Shakila Vasu

Master Teacher/EL

A former Head of Department (English) in a primary school, Shakila spent the first part of her career in school before moving on to the Curriculum Planning and Development Division. She was a team member of the EL Curriculum Planning and Review Committee, and also co-wrote the EL Syllabus 2010 and the Guide to EL Syllabus 2010. In addition, she has conducted teacher training in foreign countries such as Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines. She is particularly passionate about reading, and has a keen interest in plays, art films, and the visual arts.
