Facilitating Productive Classroom Discussion
What is a productive classroom discussion? How can I carry out productive discussions in my classroom?
Overview
Productive classroom discussions provide students with opportunities to clarify their thinking and consolidate their understanding during the lesson. Such discussions can enable students to deepen their reasoning, and listen to and engage with one another’s reasoning. This course explores how teachers can facilitate productive discussions in the classroom and overcome common challenges.
You will learn through a blend of in-person learning sessions and asynchronous online learning.
