Dream Train
Dream Train
By Adeline Teo
over-bearing
Drowsy
Sleepy
And unbecoming
Breeze delights
Brushing against
my legs
So light
Boy crouched
Mummy smiles
of protection
He hides
Chants bemusing
Closing-opening
MRT goes
Watch your TOES!
I feel me inside;
Craving for
my bed
and sides
TRAPPED up feelings
Pent up
PENT UP!
So revealing
me to its shores
Wish I could hail
on-board
this dream-ship and snore
His face away
Never been
with him
Time forbade
Echoes the voice
in the train
Roaring-shutting
Forceful doors!
like the syringe
Feel the potion
Stealthily crawling
Up stream
To tip myself
to one side,
Sleep
advancing
I saw
Ear plugs on
Box in hand
Woman bends
Woman keeps
Balance
Doors avoid
Toying with
The gates
It seems
I saw
her not more
Not from Adam
I saw
Eve
She toots light-footedly
Air-con hisses
Oil of fragrance
Sight so deep
Not a while
Do scenes unfold
Right before me
Soon to be
I saw
Train so full already…
Loneliness lurks
As darkness Swoops
Down surreptitiously
